Air Suspension Basics

Air suspension system is operated by compressed air; it provides high control, stability and safety to your vehicle.   As it can adjust your car up and down all the time, thus enhance your car image without affect the comfort of your car.  With a trend of upgrading of car intelligent, electric air suspension system would be a future trend.  Now, this system is very popular in American and Japan.

The basic Air Suspension System comprises a compressor, storage tank, air springs, lines and fitting, and a control mechanism.  When integrated, these components constitutes the vehicle's primary suspension system, and allow for adjustable ride height by changing air pressure, which alters the air spring load and rate characteristics.  

For our purposes, the most important consideration is adjustable ride height. Contemporary sport truck, custom, and street rod styling mandates a lowered stance, while discriminating enthusiasts demand technical sophistication. Air suspension systems satisfy both requirements. Another important consideration in this conversion is proper shock absorber fitment. Air suspension systems include all the bracketry need to relocate the shock absorber to the optimum position.
